My team at Borg Owilli and I created the concept Vi kör! to encourage 13–16 year olds to choose the transport and vehicle industry for their future career. The result was a campaign site and a web series in four parts, where the artist and influencer, Oscar Zia, and the racing mechanic Lisa Jonasson tests four different professions within the transport industry. To promote the series we ran a sponsored campaign on social media which was an important implement to catch the attention of the target group.

Visuals to attract young adults

I created the visuals of Vi kör! consisting of bright blue, turquoise colors and gradients, vibrant pictures and playful graphic elements.

Interactive elements engages

I choose to include gamifications alongside the regular articles, to add an interactive element to the website. Gamifications are articles with questions, where you have to answer a question to unlock the next part of the text. This is not only a fun and educative way to present content to a young target group, but also an inspirational way for them to test their knowledge and interest in the different professions.

Result

The result of the concept speaks for itself. The applicants to the vehicle- and transport program increased with an amazing 20,7 %. The web series reached 243 000 views with 80 % of viewers aged 13–24.

The concept won gold in Swedish Content Awards within the category of Public Sector and Community Information. Not to mention it won 3rd place in Månadens kampanj, Resumé.
